Our Purpose & Mission

The Gold Heart Standard is a commitment to excellence in home health care. It ensures that only the highest-quality agencies receive referral business from Gold Heart Caregivers. Agencies that meet this standard will be awarded the Gold Heart Badge, signifying their dedication to superior care, compliance, and client satisfaction.

Evaluation Process

Step 1: Application & Initial Review

Agencies must submit an application including:
✔ Proof of licensing & insurance
✔ Employee training & retention policies
✔ Client satisfaction data

Step 2: In-Person or Virtual Audit

A Gold Heart representative will conduct an audit, including:
✔ Interviews with agency owners & staff
✔ Review of care plans & compliance reports
✔ Client feedback verification

Step 3: Certification & Ongoing Monitoring

  • Agencies that pass the audit receive the Gold Heart Badge and a certification valid for one year.
  • Agencies must submit quarterly reports to maintain certification.
  • If standards drop, agencies have 30 days to correct deficiencies or risk losing certification.

Qualification Criteria

A. Client Care Standards

  • Minimum 95% client satisfaction rate (verified through surveys and testimonials).
  • Response time of under 24 hours for new client inquiries and service adjustments.
  • A personalized care plan developed and reviewed by a licensed nurse or care manager.
  • At least 80% of caregivers have 2+ years of experience in the industry.


B. Compliance & Licensing

  • Must be fully licensed and insured in the state of operation.
  • Maintain an incident report rate of less than 2% (falls, medication errors, etc.).
  • Employees must pass a background check and drug screening upon hiring.


C. Employee Training & Retention

  • A minimum of 8 hours of ongoing training per quarter for caregivers.
  • Retention rate of at least 75% over a 12-month period.
  • Employees receive competitive pay and benefits to encourage long-term retention.


D. Service & Specialization

  • Offer 24/7 on-call availability for urgent needs.
  • Provide specialized care services for conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s, and Stroke recovery.
